At UW-Eau Claire, Giving Tuesday is a day where hundreds of alumni and friends come together to impact the lives of Blugolds in a positive way.

Across the world, it is a day for us to celebrate the impact that we can have on others through giving. Celebrate Giving Tuesday with UW-Eau Claire by making a gift to an area of the university that impacted you or that you feel passionate about!

Excellence Fund - $20,000 match!
Gary Withers ’79 and his wife Lori Withers have enjoyed the tradition of challenging alumni and friends on Giving Tuesday with their Excellence Fund match challenge. Each year alumni and friends continue to succeed! This year Gary and Lori are challenging alumni and will be matching all donations up to $20,000 made to the UW-Eau Claire Excellence Fund! Your donation to the Excellence Fund will support areas of greatest need at UWEC, including scholarships, research opportunities, strong academic programs and other high impact experiences. Start your day off excellent with Gary and Lori by making a donation towards the Excellence Fund!

You can help your favorite UW-Eau Claire athletics team earn an extra $1,000. The team with the most participation at the end of Giving Tuesday will get an extra $1,000!

Champions of the Environment - $10,000 match!
Mary (Hyne) Dipboye '70 will be matching all donations to the Champions of the Environment Scholarship Fund dollar for dollar up to $10,000! Your donation will provide scholarships for students who are passionate about creating a positive environmental impact and about working in a career focused on environmental studies.

Civil Rights Pilgrimage - $1,500 match!
Jodi Thesing-Ritter and previous coordinators of the Civil Rights Pilgrimage have come together to provide a match challenge to enable future Blugolds to experience the CRP. They will match the first $1,500 of gifts to the fund and encourage all previous CRP participants to contribute!

College of Education and Human Sciences Opportunity Fund - $1,5000 match
Ron Walsh ’79 is an Elementary Education grad who has had a long and successful career in education, retiring recently as a Superintendent. Charles Vue ’89 and his wife Kaying Xiong ’96 are Social Work and Elementary Education grads, respectively, and have successful careers that focus on the betterment of education. Ron, Charles, and Kaying are passionate about ensuring that all students, regardless of their upbringing or financial situation, have access to meaningful opportunities and support at UW-Eau Claire. On Giving Tuesday, Ron, Charles, and Kaying will match donations to the College of Education and Human Sciences Opportunity Fund dollar for dollar up to $1,500 to provide underrepresented students with professional development opportunities and support.

A generous donor is matching gifts dollar for dollar up to $1,000 to support the Materials Science Department. Your gift provides scholarships to Materials Science and Engineering students to ensure they will have the ability to attend UW-Eau Claire and get the valuable hands-on experiences the department offers.

McIntyre Library - $1,000 match!
Make a gift to support McIntyre Library and your gift will be matched dollar for dollar up to $1,000! Your contribution supports equitable access to a broad range of resources and experiences for all UW-Eau Claire students, including book and media collections, the Blugold Makerspace and Digital Studio, events, and exhibits.

Amy Hunter, a 1976 Nursing graduate, is matching all donations to the Nursing Advancement Fund dollar-for-dollar up to $2,000! Amy values the experience she had as a Nursing student at UW-Eau Claire and hopes to encourage others to support the department as well!

Office of Multicultural Affairs - $5,000 match!
An anonymous donor will be matching all donations made to the Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) Advancement Fund dollar for dollar up to $5,000! Your donation to the OMA Advancement Fund will support the mission to provide quality services and programs that support and enhance the collegiate experience, particularly for underrepresented students. Your support will help fund participation in High Impact Experiences such as study abroad, cultural immersion and international research as well as other discretionary expenses for the Office of Multicultural Affairs.

Professor Emerita, Karen Havholm, is matching gifts dollar for dollar up to $10,000 to support undergraduate research! Karen values the hands-on experience undergraduate research provides to students and hopes to encourage others to support undergraduate research too.

Two anonymous donors are joining together to match gifts to the new Intersectional Women's Center dollar for dollar up to $5,000! The center represents and provides a supportive community space for the diverse population of women at UWEC.
