Common Questions

I don't see the fund I'd like to give to, can I still donate?

The UW-Eau Claire Foundation has hundreds of funds to choose from. If you don't see a fund that you are interested in on this website, simply select "Other" and type in what you'd like to support! If you don't know the exact name, that's OK, we will find the best fit. For more information, click here and you'll be able to search through our fund options.

Is my gift tax deductible?

The UW-Eau Claire Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Gifts made to the UW-Eau Claire Foundation are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Recent legislation allows for changes to charitable giving in 2021. This includes an up to $300 cash gift deduction for eligible individuals and and up to $600 cash gift deduction for eligible joint filers. Please consult your tax advisor.

How do I set up a monthly/ongoing donation?

Ongoing donations are a great way to support UW-Eau Claire without having to think too much about it! Unfortunately, this Giving Tuesday website cannot process a recurring gift. You can still set up a recurring gift, just visit https://connect.uwec.edu/donate.

I qualified for one of the matching challenges, which fund will my gift go to?

Unless the matching challenge was set up for a specific fund, the matching dollars that you earned by making a gift will go to the fund(s) that you chose to support!

How can I participate in the Giving Day if I don't want to make a gift online?

While making an online gift is the easiest way to participate in our Giving Day, you can still make your gift by mail. Mail in a check made out to the UW-Eau Claire Foundation to the address below with "Giving Tuesday" in the memo line. You may include a note with information about how you'd like your gift to be designated:
