College can be stressful, but students don't have to deal with it alone. Counseling Services is here to help. We offer a number of free in-person and online resources so that students can get the support they need for a variety of issues, including mental health, substance misuse and suicide prevention.
Mental health services include:
The primary goal of Counseling Services is to help students develop the personal awareness and skills necessary to overcome problems, and grow and develop in ways that will allow them to maximize their total educational experience at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. This service is devoted in its counseling and consultation roles to aid in the emotional, social, and intellectual development of those we serve.
More than 1,000 individuals use our services each year. Support those students by making a gift to support one of our mental health funds.
It is our greatest hope that our work will not only benefit those we interact with today, but that it will also create lifelong changes that will help students fulfill their hopes, dreams, and potentials in the future.
