Wind Symphony Carnegie Hall Trip

An Opportunity of a Lifetime

For the first time in program history, the UW-Eau Claire Wind Symphony has been invited to perform at Carnegie Hall as the featured showcase ensemble for the 2027 New York Wind Band and Orchestra Festival.

This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity includes performing on one of the world's most celebrated stages, engaging in educational outreach, experiencing world-class performances, and representing Blugold excellence on a national stage.

Your Impact

From travel expenses to lodging and meals, this once in a lifetime trip to New York City will come with a significant pricetag that may not be affordable for all of our students. Your gift helps reduce travel expenses and ensures every student musician can participate in this amazing opportunity.

Matching Opportunity

A generous gift from RG Conlee, a 1978 Music Education graduate, will match every donation dollar-for-dollar up to $25,000, helping our Wind Symphony students get one step closer to Carnegie Hall. Every gift brings us closer to unlocking the full match.

Fill the Map Challenge - $6,000 match!

Our Blugold impact spans across borders! Last year, we got a gift from ALL 50 STATES on Giving Day and we are aiming to do it again! The match is co-sponsored by Steve Bateman and Mark Hagen. They've pledged to match the first $100 donated from each state! To sweeten the deal, if we receive contributions from every single state, they will contribute an extra $1,000 to support UW-Eau Claire students! Help us make this a nationwide success! Steve is a 1980 Accounting grad and credits much of his UWEC experience in helping launch his professional career. Mark Hagen is a 1979 Business Administration and Information Systems grad who spent the majority of his career working for Cargill, Inc. They are happy to co-sponsor this Giving Tuesday match and encourage other Blugolds to give back!!
