Campus Harvest Food Pantry - Matching Gift Opportunity!
So far this year, we have an average of 185 students visiting the pantry each month, compared with only 105 in 2022. The need continues to grow as students use the Campus Harvest Food Pantry more than ever before. We need your support to continue to offer this vital resource.
Your donations are essential because we are spending much more monthly on food than what we're getting from local food banks. $2,000-$3,000 is spent monthly to stock the pantry beyond what is collected from physical, nutritional donations and local food banks.
Tara Passow, class of 1977, is passionate about helping students who need food assistance, so she is matching all gifts dollar-for-dollar up to $2,000 to support the Campus Harvest Food Pantry. Run by student volunteers and open exclusively to UWEC students, Campus Harvest is an easy way for our campus community to become a more unified whole. A majority of our products are collected through donations (both monetary and nutritional) from the campus and community.
