The Excellence Fund - Matching Gift Opportunity!
Nearly 3,000 alumni and friends each year donate to the Excellence Fund to support UW-Eau Claire's greatest needs. Gifts to the Excellence Fund range from $5 to $20,000, with a median gift of $50. Gifts of any amount made to the Excellence Fund will make a difference for current and future Blugolds!
The Excellence Fund supports the greatest needs of the university, including:
- Emergency support for students
- Student scholarships
- Research opportunities
- Study abroad programs
- Internships and field experience
- Professional development for students, faculty and staff
- Academic programs
The Excellence Fund steps in where tuition and state funding fall short and provides invaluable learning opportunities and support for students at UW-Eau Claire. This year, Gary Withers ’79 and his wife Lori are matching all gifts to the Excellence Fund dollar-for-dollar up to $25,000!
What began in 2019 as a $10,000 match has now grown. Gary and Lori have once again stepped forward to encourage alumni participation and will be matching all donations up to $25,000 made to the UW-Eau Claire Excellence Fund! Your donation to the Excellence Fund will support areas of greatest need at UWEC, including scholarships, research opportunities, strong academic programs and other high-impact experiences.
