Who We Are
At its core, the College of Arts and Sciences teaches students to think critically and creatively about the world around them. We prepare our students to be engaged citizens of the world — not just preparing them for a job, but preparing them for their future.
Our majors and departments are diverse; what they all have in common is providing our students with an engaging liberal education, unique local and global academic opportunities, supportive faculty, and academic resources.
What We're Fundraising For
The College of Arts & Sciences Advancement Fund is a general fund that can be used to support any area or need within the college. Every UW-Eau Claire graduate has benefitted from the support of the College of Arts & Sciences Advancement Fund, as every graduate is required to take multiple classes from the college.
The advancement fund is used for many things, such as:
Your Impact
Without the continued support from donations like yours, the College of Arts & Sciences would not be able to continue to offer valuable opportunities to students. For example, Jordan, a senior environmental geography major, was able to conduct field research in Arizona this fall and used that experience to learn to write a grant proposal. These experiences not only broaden perspectives but also allow students to develop crucial skills in a practical environment. Every gift to UWEC helps make experiences like Jordan's available to more students.
Matching Gift Opportunity
Make a gift to the College of Arts & Sciences Advancement Fund on Giving Tuesday, and your gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $1,500! Thank you to Gary Berg for sponsoring this year's match. Gary is a 1979 College of Arts & Sciences graduate and is excited to share in the tradition of challenging other Blugolds on Giving Tuesday.
