Each year, UWEC awards over $3 million in scholarships. Awards can range from $150 to more than $8,000 per year. Blugolds have a brighter future when their education is more accessible and affordable. Each year, generous donors provide funds for student scholarships and other direct student support through the Foundation.
What We're Fundraising For
Every student deserves the opportunity to reach their potential, no matter their major, background, or personal journey. Scholarships empower students from every corner of campus—scientists and musicians, future teachers and nurses, athletes and artists—connecting them to the resources they need to succeed. Scholarships don’t just lighten the financial load; they open doors to experiences, connections, and opportunities that shape students’ lives in and beyond college.

Matching Gift Opportunity
Gary Withers ’79 and his wife Lori Withers have enjoyed the tradition of challenging alums on Giving Tuesday with their Excellence Fund match challenge. This year they are expanding their generosity and matching all gifts to the University Scholarships Fund up to $5,000.
