Who We Are
The Forensics team is a collegiate speech team which competes throughout the year at 29 different tournaments across the country from September to April. Our legacy dates back to 1916 at the founding of UW-Eau Claire and is one of the few programs nationwide to have competed in both the American Forensic Association National Speech Tournament (AFA-NST) and the National Forensics Association (NFA) national tournament every year since their founding.
What We're Fundraising For
In honor of Karen Morris being named the UWEC nominee for the UW System Board of Regents Excellence in Teaching Award, we are raising money for the forensics scholarship. The Karen R. Morris Forensics Scholarship is awarded to an outstanding member of our team that has shown great promise as a leader in the program.
Your Impact
Whether you can give $10, $50 or $500, your gift will make a difference. Karen has coached and impacted the lives of hundreds of students, so honor the legacy of an amazing team by making a gift today. By making a gift to support Forensics, you are supporting students from all areas of campus who are part of this co-curricular activity that allows them to gain various skills and build lifelong friendships.
Matching Gift Opportunity
Dr. Sally Webb is generously matching all gifts 2:1 up to $3,000 - meaning if you give $100, Sally will give $200! She is doing this in honor of Karen Morris. Morris has been at UWEC for 27 years and directed the nationally ranked forensics program for 23 years, winning 22 team state championships, and her students won eight individual event national championships. Join Dr. Webb in honoring Karen Morris' success by making a gift.
