Who We Are
Students at the College of Business gain the competitive edge to take on the business world through internships, sales competitions and projects within the business community. Our academic programs are among the best. We are accredited by AACSB International, a mark of excellence achieved by fewer than 5% of all business schools worldwide. NAB accredits our health care administration program.
What We're Fundraising For
Donations to the College of Business Advancement Fund support students through internships, competitions, projects within the community, and technology upgrades necessary for students to keep up with industry standards. Specifically, donations made this Giving Tuesday will help support student travel to competitions and conferences.
Your Impact
Because of donors like you, more College of Business students will be able to travel to take part in conferences and competitions. These one-of-a-kind experiences are shaping tomorrow’s top leaders and innovators, giving them a front-row seat to what today’s industry truly needs. Your support means the world—thank you for making this journey possible for COB students!
Matching Gift Opportunity
This year, all gifts to the College of Business Advancement fund up to $4,000! Make your gift on Giving Tuesday to support the College of Business and DOUBLE your impact.
The College of Business Advancement Fund match is co-sponsored by Steve Bateman and Mark Hagen. Steve is a 1980 Accounting grad who spent most of his career as an audit partner at Price Waterhouse Coopers. He credits much of his UWEC experience in helping launch his professional career. Steve currently lives in the Minneapolis area with his wife and fellow Blugold, Joni ’80.
Mark Hagen is a 1979 Business Administration and Information Systems grad who spent the majority of his career working for Cargill, Inc. His career has taken him as far as London, but Mark is now based in Minneapolis and works part-time as an independent IT consultant. Both Mark and Steve have fond memories of their time as classmates in the COB, including the wonderful faculty who taught many of the accounting courses. They are happy to co-sponsor this Giving Tuesday match and encourage other Blugolds to support the outstanding College of Business.
