Who We Are
The College of Health and Human Sciences offers programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Kinesiology, Social Work, and Teacher Education programs including Special Education and Inclusive Practices. The college also offers a Professional Studies completion major for people with incoming credits or a professional associate degree.
Through experiential learning in classrooms, labs, practicums, and field experiences, students gain knowledge and skills to promote the advancement of health and human sciences and to make a difference in an increasingly diverse society.
What We're Fundraising For
Gifts to the College of Health and Human Sciences Advancement Fund support the greatest needs within the college. From supporting students while they are student teaching to replacing audiology equipment to sending students to present research at national conferences, the Advancement Fund supports all areas of the college.
Your Impact
Without the continued support from donations like yours, the College of Health and Human Sciences would not be able to continue to offer valuable opportunities to students. For example, Thomas, a Rehabilitation Science major, was able to conduct research with a patient with a dual chamber pacemaker and published the findings. Without the support of donors like you, Thomas would not have had the ability to conduct this research and develop crucial skills in a practical environment. Every gift to UWEC helps make experiences like this available to more students.
Matching Gift Opportunity
All gifts to the College of Health and Human Sciences Advancement Fund will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $1,500 thanks to an anonymous sponsor. Make your gift on Giving Tuesday to make it go twice as far!
