College of Health & Human Sciences

Who We Are

The College of Health and Human Sciences offers programs in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences, Kinesiology, Social Work, and Teacher Education programs including Special Education. The college also offers a Professional Studies completion major for people with incoming credits or a professional associate degree.

Through experiential learning in classrooms, labs, practicums, and field experiences, students gain knowledge and skills to promote the advancement of health and human sciences and to make a difference in an increasingly diverse society.

What We're Fundraising For

Students in the College of Health and Human Sciences expand their perspectives and strengthen their professional skills through immersive global learning experiences. For example, Education majors can travel to Scotland for a program, where they observe and participate in Scottish schools, engage with special education professionals, and explore trauma-informed practices for educators. And Social work students can journey to South Africa for an 18-day immersion, examining the nation’s complex history of race and democracy while engaging in service-learning across communities in Cape Town, Robben Island, and the Cape of Good Hope.

Your gift to the College of Health and Human Sciences Advancement Fund this Giving Tuesday helps provide travel scholarships and program support that ensures that more Blugolds can take part in these transformative, career-shaping opportunities.

Our Blugold impact spans across borders! Last year, we got a gift from ALL 50 STATES on Giving Day and we are aiming to do it again! They've pledged to match the first $100 donated from each state! To sweeten the deal, if we receive contributions from every single state, they will contribute an extra $1,000 to support UW-Eau Claire students! Help us make this a nationwide success!
