Sustainability

Who We Are

At UW-Eau Claire, our campus is a living lab for sustainability. The Administrative Office of Sustainability (AOS), in partnership with the Student Office of Sustainability, leads initiatives to make our campus greener, from transitioning buildings and operations to integrating sustainability into academics. Together, we provide students with hands-on opportunities to explore sustainable construction, participate in research and internships, and develop projects that benefit both the campus and the broader community.

What We're Fundraising For

The Sustainability Opportunity Fund supports student-led sustainability projects on campus. These projects allow students to apply their learning in real-world settings, creating measurable environmental impact while building valuable leadership skills. Contributions to the fund help finance initiatives such as new sustainability programs and experiential learning opportunities.

Your Impact

By supporting the Sustainability Opportunity Fund, you empower UW-Eau Claire students to become sustainability leaders while advancing the campus toward carbon neutrality by 2050. Your gift helps create new research, internships, and hands-on projects that prepare students for civic leadership, strengthen regional partnerships, and leave a lasting environmental legacy. Every donation makes a tangible difference for students and the planet.

Matching Gift Opportunity

All gifts to the Sustainability Opportunity Fund will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $1,000 thanks to an anonymous donor. Take advantage of this opportunity to make your contribution go further and help UW-Eau Claire students lead the way in creating a greener, more sustainable campus and community.

Fill the Map Challenge - $6,000 match!
Our Blugold impact spans across borders! Last year, we got a gift from ALL 50 STATES on Giving Day and we are aiming to do it again! They've pledged to match the first $100 donated from each state! To sweeten the deal, if we receive contributions from every single state, they will contribute an extra $1,000 to support UW-Eau Claire students! Help us make this a nationwide success!
Event
Student Org Food Drive Challenge
Alum Eric Wan is challenging students to get involved on Giving Day by participating in an on-campus food drive for the Campus Harvest Food Pantry. Student organizations can take part by dropping off food donations at the pantry, and the organization with the highest total will win a pizza party. In addition, for every item donated, Eric will contribute $1 to the Campus Harvest Food Pantry. Help ensure no Blugolds go hungry!
