Who We Are
We are a campus community that celebrates and supports first-generation students. At UW–Eau Claire, 26% of all Blugolds are first-generation, bringing diverse experiences, perspectives, and determination to our university. These students come from a wide range of backgrounds, often navigating the college journey without family experience to guide them. We are proud to help them build confidence, find connection, and succeed in higher education.
What We're Fundraising For
We are raising funds for the First Generation Scholarship Fund, which provides financial support to students who are the first in their families to pursue a four-year degree. Many of these students face financial challenges or lack guidance on navigating college costs. Your gift to this fund will:
- Reduce financial stress and help cover tuition and essential expenses
- Recognize the hard work and resilience of first-generation students
- Allow more Blugolds to focus on their studies and campus involvement
- Create lasting opportunities for future generations of first-generation students
