Who We Are
We are a community committed to helping students and citizens practice civil dialogue — real conversations that build understanding across political and personal differences. At UW–Eau Claire, students have learned that while they may begin these conversations feeling nervous, they often end them feeling optimistic and inspired. Our work empowers participants to listen respectfully, find common ground, and strengthen democratic connection.
What We're Fundraising For
We are raising funds to expand opportunities for students to engage in structured civil dialogue experiences like the Unify Challenge. Your support will help:
- Integrate dialogue opportunities into more courses across campus
- Train faculty and peer facilitators to guide conversations effectively
- Partner with national programs that connect students across viewpoints
- Provide incentives and materials to encourage participation
Your Impact
Your gift helps more students overcome fear and experience the hope that comes from authentic dialogue. Participants consistently report positive experiences, with 94% finding common ground, 77% enjoying their conversation, and 100% describing their partners as respectful. By investing in this work, you help transform anxiety into optimism and division into understanding one conversation at a time.
Matching Gift Opportunity
